A Tribute to the Mothers of Engineers

What’s a room full of glitter, colored paper, heart stickers, and markers galore have to do with a group of engineers? You guessed it! Students from all over (read: primarily Boelter Hall) convened in the ESUC lounge on the evening of May 6 for a night of merry card-making and drinking of yummy, hot chocolate. Hosted by SWE, this social event let students awaken their inner artist and create masterpieces to mail home in time for Mother’s Day. One student was notably observed painting a beautiful beach scene with glitter while another was busy constructing a card and envelope entirely from scratch. Who else could exhibit such serious, card-making magic? That’s right, just one of the many hidden talents of your typical UCLA engineer.
