Lunch with Professors

This past Thursday, 5/20, the Major Chair Committee from the Society of Women Engineers at UCLA held its second quarterly Professor Luncheon. One professor from each of the school’s seven engineering departments was confirmed to attend the event. While unfortunately two of the professors were unable to attend on the day of, the remaining five professors as well as our faculty advisor, Andrea Kasko, showed up to give valuable advice to the students. Overall, about 20 people attended the event. Students were seated according to their major, and got a chance to talk one-to-one with their professors while eating a delicious lunch from San Sai. Some topics discussed were: future plans, news pertaining to engineering technology, research, etc. In the future, we hope to make the event larger and encourage additional members as well as non-members to attend and interact with their professors.
