Last Thursday, April 29th, the Society of Women Engineers and the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineering hosted an infosession and a meet and greet session featuring Edwards Lifesciences, one of the leading companies in cardiovascular biotechnology. Five company representatives who were all hired within the last year, including one UCLA Engineering alumni, came to UCLA to present their experiences with Edwards and to mingle with the students. They held a variety of roles within the company and were able to provide students with valuable advice not only about the industry but also about the college-to-work transition process. Overall, the company representatives were excited to share their knowledge, and the event had a great turnout.
