Valentine's Day Card-Making

Over 25 people attended this year’s Valentine’s Day Social, including many SWE members and a few new faces. There was a good mix of young and old members, which allowed members of different years to get to know one another better. The participants used a variety of paper, glitter, glue, stickers, and hearts to create Valentine’s Day cards for their loved ones and friends. Near the end of the event, people compared their cards each believing theirs to be the prettiest and most imaginative of the bunch. The event took place on Thursday, February 11, 2010 at the end of week 6, which allowed the participants to unwind after their first round of midterms. While they were making cards, everyone snacked on Diddy Riese cookies and hot chocolate, which helped warm the cold February evening. Overall, the Valentine’s Day Social allowed members to relax and get in touch with their soft side before the most romantic day of the year.
