Etiquette Mentorship

The SWE Winter Quarter Mentorship Event was held with one thing in mind: prepare the mentees for SWE's annual Evening with Industry. Since Etiquette Dinner was not held this year, the Winter Mentorship Event became an etiquette dinner of sorts. Mentees (and mentors) learned formal dinner etiquette in an interactive way in which they had to perform a skit in front of the audience. Some of the topics that were covered included: how to properly use forks and knives, retrieve things from across the table, eat meat and bread, and consider noise-making while eating. While the event was meant to be educational, there were many humorous moments thanks to the creativity of the actors/actresses. Cookies, milk, and hot chocolate were provided to help make the event even SWEeter. A raffle at the conclusion of the event allowed a few lucky winners to take home SWE T-shirts, mugs, aluminum water canteens, and a tote bag. Thanks to everyone for coming and best of luck at EWI!
